Review | My Little Box – Diane von Fürstenberg Edition

DSC_0095 I was very excited to receive my second My Little Box in the post. I was so impressed with the first one I could not wait to see what in the second one. When it arrived and I opened the package it came in, I have to admit I was left wondering who Diane vin Fürstenberg was – I am a bit clueless when it comes to fashion and designers. However, after a bit of googling, I was even more excited to see what was inside the box.

On top was the My Little World magazine. I have not had a chance to read through this yet but it will be my magazine of choice when I have a bath this evening. Next up was the card which reads “Be the woman you want to be” which I found very inspirational therefore I have pinned it on my notice board to remind me the next time I feel like people are trying to change who I am that it is important to be who I want to be.

Underneath the magazine and card was a squidgy cardboard parcel. When I opened it up there was a super soft and silky scarf. This is probably my favourite item in the box. There were also some suggestions for how to use the scarf, such as a bag decoration and a head band. I like that it is black and white so it could go with a lot of outfits and I also like the abstract pattern.

Lastly there was a little pouch containing three beauty products. The first is the My Little Beauty Eau Micellaire. I am nearly out of my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, so this product came at the right time. I only use a micellar water very occasionally, usually when I want to freshen up my face on a day I am not wearing makeup. My favourite so far has been the Bioderma one, so I am hoping this one is just as good.

The second beauty product is the Kérastase K Laque Noire Hairspray. I have never tried a product from this brand, but I have heard good things from other beauty bloggers about their products so it will be interesting to see how this product fairs against my favourite hairspray from L’Oreal Elnett. The hairspray claims to have extra strong hold and an anti-humidity super shield – sounds fancy! My hair does not react to changes in humidity but I do get a lot of fly aways. Whilst I was writing this post I realised that Kérastase brand is part of the L’Oreal group so fingers crossed this hairspray will be good.

The final beauty product in this box was a mini sample of the L’Occitane Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream. I love L’Occitane hand creams as they are not greasy but do a great job at moisturising my hands, and I also love vanilla scented products so this was a perfect product for me! This hand cream is the perfect size for popping in your bag or for taking on a flight as it is really mini (10ml), I think I will be saving mine for the next time I go on holiday. It contains 20% shea butter so is super moisturising and the vanilla makes it smell delicious.

Overall I am really happy with this box and I cannot wait for next months to arrive. I have a feeling this is becoming my favourite beauty subscription box. I just love the variety of products you receive and they all feel really thought out.

My Little Box costs £14.95 a month and is available here.

  1. I’d never heard of these before so have had a browse of the website. The packaging looks gorgeous but I’d say £14 is overpriced for what you actually get. One of them had a Dove sample which you could pick up really cheaply in Boots. I guess it’s because the company is French that there may be a higher price to cover their import costs.
