So I had been contemplating making a Charlotte Tilbury order for a while and one day I decided to just take the plunge and order the items I had in my cart. As I spent a silly amount of money I was able to get next day delivery and my items also came gift wrapped in a beautiful box tied up with a bow. I do not want to go into too much detail about the products I purchased as I will be writing separate reviews of each product once I have used them more, but I will talk a little bit about why I purchased them.
Filmstar Bronze and Glow
This is probably the product I was most excited about finally ordering and owning. I had been eyeing it up ever since Charlotte Tilbury released her products but I was unsure if the shades would be suitable for my skin tone. However, after swatching both shades in person I knew that it would work well for me. I have to say, I am already in love with this product. Filmstar Bronze and Glow retails for £49 and is available here.
Rock ‘n’ Khol Eye Cheat Iconic Liquid Eyeliner Pencil
Up until now I have been using the Rimmel Nude Eyeliner to brighten my waterline, however I fancied trying something different. I love using a nude liner when I am working with red toned eyeshadows as it helps to neutralise any redness on my waterline that could cause me to look like I have been crying for hours. The Eye Cheat Eyeliner Pencil retails for £19 and is available here.
Date Night Duo
Matte Revolution Lipstick in Between the Sheets and K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Kiss Chase
I was only going to buy one lipstick, but when I saw that she had released both Valentines Day lipsticks in a set (saving £4) I thought why not. I already knew I liked both of the formulas and I generally wear pink lipsticks the most so I really could not go wrong in getting this set. The Date Night Duo retails for £42 and is available here.
6 Shades of Love Set
Cheek to Chic in Sex on Fire, K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in So Marylin and Travel Size Wonderglow
The final product I purchased was another set but this time it includes a lipstick, blush and the Wonderglow primer. I already own the Cheek to Chic in Ecstasy so knew the formula was excellent, this time I wanted something a bit more natural in tone as Ecstasy is more of a pink tone. The lipstick in the set is a gorgeous red which is very different from the other Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I own, I am very excited to try this one out. Finally, the set comes with a travel sized Wonderglow primer. I love using a highlighting primer under a more matte foundation to add a bit of a glow with none of the oily looking shine. The 6 Shades of Love Set comes in a few different combinations and retails for £49. It is available here.
I am looking forward to testing all of these products and will let you know my thoughts once I have decided how I feel about them.
Have you tried any products from Charlotte Tilbury? Is there anything you would recommend me trying next?
As I had run out of Lush Christmas products to review I thought I had better scoot on down to Lush a purchase some more. I went to the Lush Southampton store for change and the staff were lovely – it must be a Lush employee thing, every member of staff I talk to are so friendly. My fiancé treated me to these wonderful products – thank you Karl – and even snuck in a non-Christmas product in the form of Ickle Baby Bot. I decided to go for a mixture of bubble bars and bath bombs, because sometimes I do like to have a bubbly bath, and I also chose some products I had never tried before. Here is what I chose:
Top row: The Penguin Bubble Bar, Candy Mountain Bubble Bar, Magic Wand Bubble Bar
Middle Row: Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb, So White Bath Bomb, Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
Bottom Row: Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb, Father Christmas Bath Bomb, Christmas Eve Bubble Bar
Golden Wonder is my fiancé’s favourite so of course that had to go in the basket. So White, Shoot for the Stars and Ickle Baby Bot are new to me, I cannot wait to see what they are like, whilst Candy Mountain and Magic Wand are old favourites. I am pretty sure Candy Mountain used to look similar to the Comforter and be called Candy Cane a few years ago and I am positive there was a bath bomb called Satsumo Santa one year that smelt remarkably similar to the Father Christmas bath bomb – anyone else remember this? If that is the case then I am pretty excited to pop him in the bath as I loved that bath bomb.
Whilst we were browsing the shop I had a quick smell of the Snowman Jelly. I had looked over this product when I was at the launch event in Portsmouth, but as soon as I smelt it I knew I just had to try it so promptly added it to my ever growing list of products to purchase next time.
Reviews of all these products will be going up once I have tried them all out – which I am sure will not take me long. The only thing left to decide is… which do I used first? If you have any suggestions or favourites, let me know in the comments below.
I have just uploaded a new video to my channel talking about my experience and the products I got at the Lush Christmas Event. I hope you enjoy watching. Scroll down for more photos from the event and details of the other bloggers I met. I had such an amazing time at this event, thank you again to Lush Portsmouth for inviting me. I am going to make it my mission to try every single Halloween and Christmas products from Lush and write a review on them before the beginning of December. Do you think I can do it? I am going to start with the Halloween products. I placed my order this week so hopefully they will arrive soon.
